Swiss Chocolate Birthday Cake

I hate to admit that I don't like getting other people presents, but it's true. And it's not because I'm selfish, I think the reason is I used to hate the presents my friends would give me at my birthday parties and it'd made me so sad to feel that nobody really knew me or knew what I would like to get. I believe I was good at disguising it most of the times, but that would feel even worse. Now I take forever when I need to buy a gift because the last thing in the world I want is to make somebody else feel the way I used to feel. It honestly scares me.

Well... I can't complain this year. Even though I was so busy on my birthday that I only had time to read the text messages three days later and couldn't answer 80% of the calls, the few presents I got were perfect. Two examples. Last Christmas, every time I went to a store and saw this movie I thought: "If I was someone who knew me I would get me this." On my birthday it was in my mailbox. And I also got the kind of present I've always wanted: I'm going to Switzerland! The flight ticket and the hotel are paid, I'm going by myself, I don't know anyone I'm gonna meet with and there's amazing chocolate! What else could I ask for? The fact that it's a work trip just makes it more exciting to me. I'm traveling as one of the movie stars in Dialogues, a movie I shot in LA, and I'm actually the only person involved in it who's gonna be there talking at the premiere. I will be reading a lecture the director wrote as his Anima. The premiere is gonna be at a museum, which actually makes this perfect present a combination of two I've always wanted to get: a trip and a cultural tour at any interesting place. Why didn't I ever have a boyfriend who realized I would love to go to a painting exhibit on my birthday?

I like places better than things. Maybe I'm getting older... Or maybe I should. And I'm not.

I dont like getting people presents either haha! It takes up a lot of time. I like it if it's random but not forced.

Lets go to an art show together while you're here! that sounds great!!
