Old Katie Coffman Bio

Katie Coffman – This 20 year old aspiring chef has recently been accepted into the prestigious California School of Culinary Arts, Le Cordon Bleu, in Pasadena. She plans to open a late-night dessert restaurant where people can hang out, eat delicious desserts and appetizers, and listen to live music until early in the morning. Katie pays her rent and new-used car payments by serving at Blue Frog Bakery/restaurant, where she has worked for over a year now. She also does some catering and cakes on the side which she would like to expand. Aside from her obvious passion, Katie enjoys going out to clubs, parties or just hanging out and watching Sex and the City.

Basic
•Name: Katrina Sarah Coffman
•Birthday/Age: July 30, 1987. That makes me 20. Damnit.
•Place of Birth: Orange County, CA. I think it was Fullerton technically.
•Residence: Garden Grove
•Mode of Transportation: Car. Sort of.
•Haircut/color: Short. Really short. Blonde. Naturally too.
•Height/ Weight: 5'10" And a half. 145-150 depending on what I've eaten that day.

Career
•Career Choice: Professional Pastry Chef. Eventually with my own dessert restaurant!
•When did you decide this? A few years ago. It kind of sneaked up on me when I kept making and baking stuff. And enjoying it.
•Why? I wanted to be a high school music teacher, then realized I didn't like teaching. At all.
•Who is your roll model? No particular person yet. I like certain aspects of many people but I haven't found that one person who embodies all the qualities I desire in myself.
•In relation to your career, you wish to... Become one of the best pastry chefs in the western United States. Hell man, the world!
•What is the most difficult part? Making things look really appetizing. It's not too difficult to make them taste good, but the art that goes into presentation is going to be my biggest hurdle.
•What is the easiest? Following the recipe. It's not hard to make whatever the recipe says, so I usually try to change things around a bit. How much money do you have in your bank account/Checking/Savings? I have about 100 right now, with another 350 coming, which will let me make rent. Barely. But I do have about 900 saved up to help me start my business eventually. I put 50 a month into it as do my parents.
•What was the last thing you did for your career? Started Culinary School
•What are your current job(s)? Waitress. I really hope to start work in a kitchen really soon. I also do some caterings on the side every now and then. (Need a cake?)
•How do you pay your bills? I pay rent and utilities with debit. Everything else goes on credit. Which sucks. I wouldn't recommend. Credit cards are not free money!
•What are your plans for the next 3 months? I'm adding $2,500 to my school loan and putting it in my bank account for living expenses. This will hopefully go towards a car that won't explode on me and a computer. And rent, of course. And finding that kitchen job. And being able to eat.
•How will you know you've made it? When I'm baking in my own restaurant and it's busy as hell. My employees are able to handle things even when I'm not there. And my restaurant is in a movie.
•Do you think you'll make it? Fuck Yeah!

Life
•Current Top Five Songs you're listening to: Nirvana, Les Claypool, Agent Orange, Trivium, Velvet Revolver (yes, I know they're not songs)
•Movies you love: American History X, Big Fish, Super Bad
•Places to be: Australia, Germany, Twalomne Meadows, New York, kitchen
•Things to do: Baking (yeah shut up), reading, going places with my friends, hanging out with my roommates, drinking (usually along with numbers three and four)
•Drinks: Corona, Dos Equis, cosmopolitan, milk, coffee
•Foods: Chicken caesar salad, pollo asada, tacos, not sugary things. For the love of god I can't eat any more desserts!
•What is the most important thing to your life right now? My friends. Cliche, I know, but seriously, they are all so important right now in helping me with my future.
•What could you not live without? see previous question
•What do you wish you could get rid of? my car

Love
•Are you straight/gay? straight
•Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend? (If so who is he and how long have you been dating?) Nope.
•How many major relationships have you had? 3 or 4 if you coun't that one guy twice.
•What is dating like for you right now? Pretty non-existant
•When did you first start dating? What happened? 14 and a half. This guy said he liked me and we went out for 5 (6?) months. Horrible.
•What was your biggest break up over? Me being effing tired of the guy and wanting a new direction in life. After 4 years, that happens. He didn't want change and I did. Fun times.
•When was your last romance/date/hookup? What happened? Err... Saturday. We met at a party where I knew no one, he was really cool, and we hooked up.
•Do you want to get married? If so When? Yes! Ideally it would be before I turn 25. I really hope I don't have to wait until I'm 30.
•Do you want kids? if so how many? Yes! 4 or 5. I want a large family so I can be the matriarch when I get old. I'll be the coolest Grandma ever! I can't wait.
•And finally, where do you want to be one year from now? Well known in my region (wherever that may be) as the up-and-coming pastry chef every restaurant wants to hire. I'd like a boyfriend then too.
