People named Dexter are awesome

At least, in TV land. Dexter's Laboratory is one of the greatest kids show ever: "'Hey Dexter guess what I am!' 'Annoying'"

And now my new Dexter favorite, for adults! Dexter on Showtime. Not that I get showtime, of course, but I can still watch the Korean subtitles! I'm really excited to get the books, they're going to be absolutely wonderful. But seriously, if you get a chance to watch this show it's amazingly captivating.

Something about falling in love with a character that would kill you without a second thought is both captivating and terrifying at the same time.

It's weird how our society has this unyielding love of serial killers. Just read about any of them throuought history: serial killers get more fan mail than any rock star ever could imagine. Girls would send letters to Ed Gein even to say they would have sex with him. Though I'm sure he'd rather pick guys. I wonder if it's just Americans or the world in general. I do think that it's human nature to be attracted to what can hurt you most. Hence: skydivers, scubadivers, BMX shit, motorcycles, cars, living... It's a good thing being alive in general is so dangerous, or we'd all be bored off our asses.

I'm totally naming one of my sons Dexter though, just because there are very few names with the letter 'x' in it (which is my favorite letter (because it's almost entirely useless)).
