And about 7 years after everybody else...

I've discovered the website 'Pandora!' I really, really like it because it gives me information that I did not previously have. I like absorbing random and useless-in-the-scheme-of-things facts.

On a cooking note: I am discovering the beauty in simplicity. You don't need a ridiculous amount of spices and other flavorings for things when only a few will work. For example:
Saute Green and yellow squash (the green ones are zucchini but for some reason the poor yellow guys don't get a name) with olive oil, minced garlic, and chopped onion. Add salt and pepper. Add half a can of diced tomatoes (unsalted is probably best seeing as you can always add more salt but it's much more painstaking and time-consuming to remove it). Then add some week-old cooked rice that has been tightly sealed in your refrigerator. If you have some random alfredo sauce lying around you should add that too, just to tie it all together (and because cheese makes everything better).

Hmm...I guess that's not all that simple now that I write it all out. But it seemed simple at the time!

Anyway, it's rather fuckin tasty, if I may say so myself.

Another old stand-by: pesto alfredo pasta. Just mix alfredo and pesto sauce in a 2-1 ratio (more alfredo please, pesto is overpowering) and add it to pasta. Delicious and takes about as long as opening a can of alfredo sauce takes.

Enough about food, let's talk about life! Which, unsurprisingly, revolves almost entirely around food...

Oh wait! So I've been running lately (on a treadmill unfortunately, only because I'm not too big of a fan of wandering the streets of Hollywood at night. That and I like breathing) and am up to 2.5 miles in 24 minutes!

!!!
I'm pretty proud of myself actually. It's kinda cool especially since I've hated running most of my life.

Wednesday night should be awesome! I'm seeing my boyfriend's band who've been practicing a lot more lately (since getting a new guitarist and everything) and I'm pretty sure they're going to kick some fuckin ass. I've only seen them once and they surprised me with the sheer amount of talent they all have. I would say I'm biased, but at the time of seeing them I wasn't sure of anything and rather skeptical. So I'm happy to see them again.

And that other one sounds good too cause it's sitting in the fridge right here at work and I'm about to attack it with a fury in 90 minutes.

that's cool that you can run so fast! You can run away from the cat when it comes to kill you! yay!
