I copied this from facebook....
so I've now been tagged enough times I have to join in with the trend. Also I'm a sucker for these things and get pleasure out of it...so I figured I would do a fun fact about each year of my life up until 22...then i'll talk about the future or something.....
0) When I was born and my parents had 3 cats. Upon bringing me home from the hospital for the first time two hid from me. The other came up to me, sniffed, then ran away. I then proceeded to try and gain their love for the next 6 years of my life by chasing them, I don't think they ever understood my intentions.
1) Two of my first words were "Biceisick" (bicycle) and Sassy Momo(Meaning myself). If I had an idea of how both of those phrases would be prominently involved in my life afterwords I might have thought twice about saying them.
2) I have a memory of trying to eat a whole baby tomato in one bite. It exploded all over my face and I cried. Now whenever I eat a baby tomato I always eat them in one bite and get a small sense of accomplishment.
3) At one point I managed to fall onto the sharp end of a hardcover children's book. It cut my nose so badly I had to go to the ER and almost get plastic surgery because the doctors thought it might seriously maim my nose forever. Luckily it didn't but if you look close enough you can see the scar on my right nostril.
4) I was a child model until I moved to DC from NYC when I was four.
5) When I was five I started taking ballet and would continue to do Jazz, tap and Modern dance until I was in 9th grade. In my parents old house I would play music really loud infront of our massive mirror in the living room and dance for hours.
6) In first grade we were given an assignment to write a one page story. I started writing about my fantasy land called "Cartoonland" where me and Peter Pan would go on adventures and fight pirates. I thought the story was too cool for a page and got the teacher to let me write 10 page book with illustrations. Then somehow the 1992 computer lost my weeks of work. The teacher said I didn't have to re-do it, But I told them to go to hell (in first grade speak) re-did it, made it longer, prettier, laminated it and read it outloud to the class.
7) I used to love love LOVE dinosaurs. I would go to the natural history museum once a month to look at the bones. Then I saw Jurassic Park and it scared me so badly I had to leave the room crying when the raptors chased the kids in the kitchen. After that I hated dino's and refused to think about them or see that movie until Trevor Morgan was in JP3. Coincidentally my childhood "monster" was a raptor that lived in the basement by the washing machines.
8) I loved the power rangers so much I got a group of kids together to act out the episodes at recess. I had my dad help me film it once and edit it together. I was always the pink ranger.
9) I was a kid in the Larry King Xmas Special when I was 9
10) In fifth grade I was in the honors band for the flute. I helped my TA class write an opera and I also helped compose it. When we put it on I had wrote myself a really hard but stellar solo that I worked on for weeks. When I played it, I freakin nailed it. Man that was cool.
11) I got into HB Woodlawn, one of the top middle/high schools in the country. At the time the only reason I was excited to go is that you didn't have to wear shoes if you didn't want to. So on the first day in 6th grade I didn't wear shoes. My feet got really dirty and people forever thought I was weird...but it felt great. (I'm at work and not wearing shoes right now...whatever)
12) In 7th grade I got to assistant direct the high school musical. I didn't really do anything except watch the director but it taught me a lot.
13) When I was in 8th grade I was tired of being fat and ugly so I decided to that since I was a size 15 I wanted to be a size 5. Which I gradually became 4 years later losing a total of 40 pounds.
14) I used to only go shopping on our trips to NY. I found these awesome pants that laced up the side, Phoebe and Prue had a pair in Charmed. I loved them so much
15) I was totally obsessed with this one actor Trevor Morgan (my obsession started when I was in 8th grade) I ran his online fan club for a few years. In my first trip to California I contacted him and he met up with me at the promenade!!! It was one of the happiest afternoons of my life. We both wore converse sneakers and discovered we were both vegetarians...it was meant to be.
16) My best friend Jayne and I spent a large portion of the summer sneaking out past curfew. But my house is small and makes lots of noises. We figured out the quietest way was to sneak out my house with through the 2 foot by 4 foot kitchen window. Later I made a movie about our adventures.
17) I went on a ski trip to Canada in Jan 2004 that would change my life forever. I have since not been skiing nor to Canada.
18) Before freshman year of college I hated mexican food. Then I moved to California and that change dramatically.
19) I was homeless for 3 weeks in the bay area between freshman and sophomore year. I spent it couch hoping and almost got kidnapped. Shortly after (although not related) a good friend of mine killed himself. These events showed me it was time to do something with my life and make a difference. So I decided to make Happy Holidays
20) After years of not going clubbing, I went junior year and discovered my love for LA, dancing and late nights.
21) At the Happy Holidays premiere I squeezed Matt's hand so hard during the film that he thought I was having a panic attack. It was really that I had to pee so bad I almost peed myself by the end of the film
22) Because of the election I've gotten back into politics again. I try and watch Keith Olberman's countdown. Rachel Maddow, John Stewart, Colbert and read CNN.com twice a day.
23) I'm going to be taking two classes at LA City College and possible do another major in acting.
24) The favorite part of my wardrobe is my pink sparkley sneakers.

I can't believe you also had a fantasy about going on adventures with Peter Pan! I could say mine lasted until last year... ahahah. And I also wrote a book about it when I was eleven! Wow I totally have to read your story! - At February 2, 2009 3:30 PM , Sassy Mohen said...
